About "Called to Love"

Hello to those of you curious enough to learn more about "Called to Love".  I wish I had a lot of interesting things to say about myself, so forgive me if you are left without answers...

Despite the fact that I am imperfect, I strongly believe God calls imperfect people to a radical way of living...  regardless of where you have been or where you currently are in life. I believe that we are all "Called to Love".

While this blog is an extension of my callings, I hope my passion for people and convictions for changing the world can be found in my thoughts and writings.  It is my hope that one day you'll see your calling to love others, and that you will be encouraged to do it in big ways.  Perhaps there are some of you who are currently in the process of learning to "love", but are unaware to the significance behind your relationships.

Originally, this blog was started to keep my family, friends, and supporters up-to-date with my summers spent playing soccer and doing ministry with Missionary Athletes International (MAI) in Southern California.  The team I played with was the Southern California Seahorses, they are a PDL team and Christian ministry that helps train and deploy Sports Ministers throughout the world.  However, since my time in California I have continued this blog mainly to share my heart with close friends and spiritual mentors.  Many of my posts are things that I journal and think about for weeks and months, sometimes I just use it as a means to "digest" information found in books that I have just read, or maybe even a speaker that I had recently heard.

In short, I love God and I love people.  I hope what you find in this blog challenges you towards your own pursuit of truth and your calling to love, please do not hesitate to challenge or question any of my thoughts.  Sharing the hearts and minds of others is one of the greatest gifts we have been given, and I only hope what you find here encourages that.

Be blessed!
